Awful Day Ever
It all started with a terrible case of bedhead hair. I couldn't do it to look decent. As I was running out the door, I fell and landed all over myself. To make matters worse, I was completely running behind for school.

By the time I got home, I was physically and emotionally wiped out. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as the worst day ever.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
